Craft Group
Our Chatty Craft Group is held in the hall every Monday 1400 - 1600.
Our members knit, sew/patchwork, card making and crotchet whilst chatting as well as working on projects together for the New Forest show. A number of members enter the annual New Forest Show where the Hampshire WI Federation has a marquee displaying all the entries for the WI annual competition. The Show is held in July for three days and well worth a visit. You do not have to be a member of the weekly craft group to enter either, all members are encouraged to have a go
Some crafters have yarn bombed our railings for Christmas, the Queens Jubilee, Kings Coronation as well as Poppies both knitted and crotcheted to decorate the tree by the entrance into the WI hall.
All members are welcome especially during the winter months to come along for a warm up, a cuppa and chat whilst the crafters carry on being 'crafty'! The photo shows craft members manning their crafts at our Christmas Craft Fair 2025

Well done to everyone who took part with special congratulations to Della B awarded 1st Place, winning the silver cup for her photo entry under the title Breathe, relax, look around, smile!

Christmas Craft Fair 2025
A very successful fun raising day with all proceeds received helping to maintain Hordle WI Hall.

September 2025
Hordle WI members along with the NFWI a key partner in the Rugby World Cup impact '25 Programme supporting the woman and girls in the Rugby Team. Craft members and friends have been busy knitting/crocheting roses and bunting which is now on display outside our WI Hall during the Womens World Rugby Cup 2025 being held across the country for the next four weeks.
New Forest WI Show 2025
Another successful show with congratulations this year to Paula for wining first certificate for her knitted toy and to Mary for gaining a gold star 20/20 for her lemon cake, well done to everyone who entered. Below are some the craft members with their entries plus photos of entries taken at the show. We are now all looking forward to the Brockenhurst Group show - March 21st 2026!
